About this place
For a taste of several Kyoto dishes, the Mini Kyoto Set is worth a look. It includes two kinds of obanzai—traditional home-style dishes that change daily—as well as items such as namafu dengaku, Manganji peppers, and tempura of hamo (pike conger) or squid. Ordered separately, the namafu dengaku comes with miso sauce, while the yuba sashimi is served with ponzu. Tofu dishes include chilled tofu topped with green onion and miso, and agedashi tofu with namafu, served in dashi broth.
For a meat dish, try the Kyoto pork shabu-shabu: thin slices of Kyoto-produced pork served with ponzu. You can build a meal from several small plates or choose a set to enjoy a selection of Kyoto-style dishes.
Dine-in service is available, with counter, table and terrace seating. Ponto also accepts reservations.
